Donations always welcome!
The Norfolk Rescue Mission operates solely through donations. We offer a variety of services for the community including hot meals and food boxes, personal grooming items, clothing ministry, furniture and household items, and much more. We need a constant supply of these products. We depend on your generosity.
Meals and Food Boxes
We serve 3 meals daily for between 30 to 75 people, 365 days a year. We need a steady stockpile of fresh, canned, and frozen food; our finances do not allow for us to purchase these items, so we rely on the kindness of our Norfolk area neighbors.
Aside from serving hot meals each day, we provide food boxes for people in need. We always need items to put in our freezers and food pantry. Please bring any food donations to either the front door or back door of the Administration building, or call 402.371.6484.
Cleaning Supplies
We need cleaning supplies and paper goods for the kitchen, as well as the living areas of the Mission and the many bathrooms throughout the facility. Here are some of the items we consistently need:
- Disposable gloves
- Brooms and mops
- Sponges
- Kitchen towels
- Toilet cleaner and brushes
- Dish detergent
- Laundry detergent and softener
- Floor cleaner
- Fabulouso
- Bleach
- Trash bags (13 and 45 gallon)
Please bring any cleaning items to the main office in the Administration building.
Personal Toiletry Items
We strive to offer our overnight guests personal grooming items and toiletries upon their arrival. Here are some of the items we consistently need:
- Toilet paper
- Feminine products
- Combs and brushes
- Nail clippers
- Razors and Shaving cream (both men's and women's)
- Foot powder
- Towels and wash cloths
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Deodorant (both men's and women's)
- Tooth brushes and toothpaste
- Denture cream
Please bring new personal items to the main office in the Administration building.
Clothing Ministry
Our clothing room is well-stocked with seasonal appropriate items for men, women and children. We make clothing available for Mission guests, people new to the community, people in crisis, and anyone else in need of clothing or coats.
Please bring your clean, kindly used clothing items to the main office in the Administration building or call us at 402.371.6484.
Furniture and House Wares
We provide furniture, appliances, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, decorations and knickknacks, toys, luggage and other items (dependent on current availability).
Please call 402.371.6484 before bringing large furniture or appliance items, so that we can help to unload your donations.
